Subject: Bell - Goebel

I purchased a Goebel bell at a flea market and cannot find any information on it. It has a case that says Goebel Limited Edition crystal bell Noel 1978, on the inside of the case it says handcut full lead crystal, Goebel Hummel Werk, on the bell handle it says 2,549 of 10,000. On the bell it has what looks like children singing and also says Noel 1978. If you have any information on this piece please let me know. Ravein1001@aol.com

Goebel has produced some crystal pieces, but I did not see anything listed in regards to bells. The books do not list any secondary market activity on the crystal pieces, so I do not know how much your bell is worth.

I have a set of 12 Norman Rockwell bells entitled "The Wonderful World of Norman Rockwell". They were made in West Germany. They were released by the Danbury Mint and are dated 1979. I would like to know their value and the best place(s) to advertise them for sale. Thanks for your help. wwm@waveone.net

The Danbury Mint is not a member of the Collectors' Information Bureau, therefore, I do not know their secondary market value. We recommend selling any collectible item in the sell section of this web site.

update: The bells have a secondary market price of $30.00 each. (Price Guide to Limited Edition Collectibles by Collectors Mart Magazine.)
